Now, this is what we call ‘tattooed for life’. The female mummy with tattoos dating way back to 450AD unearthed by archaeologists in El Brujo, Peru clearly depicts the roots of the impeccable art.

The worrier woman mummified with arms and ornaments was found inked with magic religious figures, snakes and spiders and is supposed to belong the ancient Moche tribe. The tattoos, as you can clearly see in the images above, are believed to be inked with cactus spine and charcoal pigment.
