Andrei Zhirnov, a representative of the Russian Communist Party, will have to bear the indelible marks on his face for life. He was reportedly detained and tattooed with obscene words on his forehead and cheeks. He has been removed from the polls of the legislative assembly elections from the Novosibirsk region and still keeps his face wrapped up to hide the tattoos. Initially it was taken as a PR stunt, but now a criminal case of ‘inflicting bodily harm’ and a ‘murder threat’ is filed.
So, it all turned out to be a filthy political game where the tattoo gun did all the kicking. It’s strange that tattoos have broken the shackles of ‘art for the art sake’ and have given opportunity to people to misuse it.
