A bill to legalize tattoos in Oklahoma is still in doldrums. Considered as ‘a permanent indelible mark’, it is illegal to give tattoos in Oklahoma. In an effort to change the situation, tattoo artists and enthusiasts staged a protest at the state capitol on Monday.
A bill to legalize tattoos was thwarted in the committee last session. I discussed the plight of the tattoo enthusiast and the efforts they are making to garner more support and popularize the skin art in my previous post. But the ball is still in the State’s court.
It’ll be more intelligible to regulate the whole body art business than to ban it altogether. I hope, the art gets recognition soon.
