Laws, ordinances, bills, legislations and blah! blah! blah! are hovering over tattoo industry. Today it’s a global phenomenon, exploding only this year. The 200-plus tattoo parlours and skin piercing businesses in Scotland will be facing tougher regulations from April next year.
Licensing of tattoo parlors is understandable. But axing tattoo craze of under-16s by making it compulsory for them to bring written parent consent is the main thorn. All know they won’t. But can you stop the kids? Impossible! If they want it, they’ll have it. Why to bring the clean-skinned big mommy and daddy in between the ‘art’ and their ‘admirers’ when they don’t have the knack to appreciate it.
Doesn’t matter, I have inked my parents’ most wanted autographs on my report cards many a times during school days. Now please don’t call the poor chap’s burly dad for verification. Better clean up your parlor and sharpen the tattoo gun’s needle. That’s it!
