Mum gets tattoo ad on forehead, $10,000 for son’s school fees

mother gets head tattoed

We all know that a mother would do just about anything for the betterment of her offspring. But when Karolyne Smith got her forehead tattooed with an ad for a gambling site for $10,000 to pay for her son’s school fees, we couldn’t help but wonder if it really had been worth it. Apparently Karolyn auctioned off the advertising space on her head on the internet and accepted Goldenpalace.com’s offer of $10,000 for the ‘permanent billboard’ to send her son Brady to a private school. Though Karolyne discussed it with her boyfriend Jeremy Williams for over three weeks, eventually she decided that having to live with the ad on head was worth investing in her son’s future. Smith’s eBay auction got more than 27,000 hits and 1,000 watchers and reached $999,99 before an internet gambling company, Goldenpalace.com offered her $10,000, which had been her asking price initially. The company also gave her an additional $5,000 for all the trouble she had to go through to get the tattoo done.
