Henna is not for your sensitive skin

hennaPDP, para-phenylenediamine, present in henna can play havoc with your skin. The Health Department in Birkirkara, Malta has issued warnings for henna users to check the labeling of the products for the presence of PDP before application.

PDP, a colorless substance, is believed to cause certain allergic reactions as it require oxygen to become colored and this semi-oxidized state of the chemical may cause allergic reactions. But it only causes harm to people with sensitive skins.
