Following NBA the Iranian Basketball Federation has also banned its players from tattooing their skins, but for different reasons.
“It has been noticed recently that some basketball players are copying foreign players and having themselves tattooed … Which is against the morals (of the Islamic republic) and unacceptable,” the federation said. (Regards: The Hindustan Times)
Get ready to see burka-clad basketball players on the court. It’s a shame and will thwart the popularization of the beautiful art, the Islamic version of which is extremely beautiful.
