#1: Becksâ misspelt Vhik-toria tattoo
Professing your devotion to your partner by getting their name tattooed on a part of the body is just about the most romantic thing a man can do apart from actually listening in when his lady talks to him. So when soccer and tabloid demi-god David Beckham got his wife Victoriaâs name tattooed on his arm, the world cooed in unison. The only problem is that the tattoo artist seemed to have inked Davidâs accented pronunciation of the name in place of the actual transliteration so Becksâ tattoo now reads Victoria in the Hindi script (not Hebrew as is commonly thought!) instead of Victoria which is just the deadliest that-dumb-celebrity joke for the sizable British Indian population of England!
#2: Britneyâs non-word Kabballah tattoo
Britney Spears really thought she was expressing her devotion for the ancient and mystical Kabballah sect when she got a tattoo artist to write a supposedly meaningful Hebrew connotation on the back of her neck. But since nothing in Britneyâs life can ever go right, the artist wrote the word backward trying to get a mirror effect which made the word almost incomprehensible in any script known to man so far!
#3: Angelinaâs Billy Bob tattoo
Back in the day when Angelina Jolie was more than happy making out with then husband Billy Bob Thornton on all the red carpets of the world, we all thought her getting his name tattooed on her arm was oh-so-romantic. The ritual divorce, however sealed the fate for that symbol of love and Angie had the tattooed duly lasered out and now her proud arm bears the longitudes and latitudes of the birthplaces of all her children which is as thoughtful as it is bizarre!
#4: Pamela Andersonâs wedding ring tattoo
When you own a pair of surgically-enhanced double Ds, even the biggest diamond in the world couldnât possibly announce your âblissfully-marriedâ status. So it only kinda made sense when Pamela Anderson decided to skip the rock for a customized tattoo on her wedding ring finger that spelt the name of her then-husband Tommy Lee. What really worked in Pamâs favor later on is that when the couple ritually fell out of love, she just had the letter âTâ replaced with the letter âMâ in her tattoo and turned âTommyâ to âMommyâ averting a very disastrous PR situation.
#5: Johnny Deppâs Wino-no tattoo mishap
Johnny Depp got his armed inked with a âWinona Foreverâ tattoo announcing his everlasting love for then-girlfriend Winona Ryder. But when the couple split within months of Johnny getting the ink, the actor cleverly had his tattoo converted into âWino Foreverâ which earned him a well-deserved spot on the shock-to-chic list as well!
